Mary’s Rise: From Idea to Enterprise

Mary, a 36-year-old mother of two had always dreamed of starting a tailoring business, but lacked the skills and confidence to take the first step. “I had ideas, but I didn’t know how to begin or manage a business,” she said.

Through the Dr. Racheal Wairimu Foundation’s Women Entrepreneurship Training, Mary learned how to develop a business plan, price her services, manage finances, and market her work. The hands-on training gave her not just knowledge, but the belief that she could succeed.

Just months after completing the program, Mary opened her own tailoring shop in the local market. She now makes school uniforms and dresses for her community, earning a steady income. “This training changed my life. I am now a businesswoman, and I can provide for my children with dignity,” she proudly shares.
